STANFORD, Calif. — The Little Rock Men’s Golf team is in California for the remainder of the week, competing in the prestigious The Goodwin tournament at TPC Harding Park in San Francisco. The three-day event will feature 31 collegiate programs, with 18 holes played each day.

The Trojans will field a strong lineup, led by Matteo Cristoni, followed by Archie Smith, Freddie Turnell (#134), Rhett South (#4), and Phisher Phillips. Ed Featherstone will compete individually.
The tournament will be held on the par-70, 6,742-yard course, which is nearing its 100th year of existence. Known for its scenic views of the Bay Area, the course has hosted numerous high-profile tournaments. This year’s competition returns to Stanford Golf Course after a two-year stint at TPC Harding Park where the Trojans took 17th last year.
Little Rock will tee off in the first round at 12 p.m. PT on Thursday, followed by a 7 a.m. start for both Friday and Saturday’s rounds. The Trojans will be paired with Northwestern, SMU, and Oregon. The event follows a play five, keep four format, with staggered starts from holes 1 and 10.
The field is loaded with talent, including 13 teams ranked in the top 50 and 20 in the top 90. Top-ranked programs include No. 12 Utah, No. 15 UCLA, No. 24 Pepperdine, No. 27 BYU, No. 28 Long Beach State, and No. 30 Georgia. Little Rock enters the event ranked No. 40 nationally, facing stiff competition from teams like No. 32 Colorado, No. 33 SMU, No. 34 Northwestern, and No. 36 Oregon.
