19 Mar 2025 Trojans round out series at UT Arlington with easy win
ARLINGTON, Texas – Little Rock jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the first inning and cruised to a 10-6 victory over UT Arlington (6-10) Sunday afternoon at Clay Gould Ball Park.
Ty Rhoades, Cooper Chaplain and Zach Henry each drove in two runs apiece. Jack Cline picked up his second win of the week as he went 6.1 innings with 5 hits, 5 walks and 6 strikeouts.

“I’m really proud of our ballclub after a tough stretch we are going through, these guys are playing hard,” Little Rock head coach Chris Curry said. “It’s not clean, yet. It’s not complete, yet. We didn’t come out and lay down. We scored four in the first inning.
“Jack Cline had another great outing. There is just a buzz of confidence when he is on the mound. As the other guys continue to find themselves on the mound, Jack is holding down the fort.”
The Trojans (8-12) took a 2-0 lead in the first when Rhoades reached on an error and two runs scored. Chaplain scored another run on a fielder’s choice and the final run scored an error.
Sammy Harris homered in the second inning to expand the lead to 5-0.
“I was proud of Sammy,” Curry said. “He got hit in the mouth Thursday night and had to go to the ER to get stitches, and he played the next day. We are a MASH unit, we’ve got guys hurt all over the field, but we are playing hard.
The Trojans made it 7-0 in the fifth when Rhoades grounded out and Ryan Geck hit a sacrifice fly. They went up 10-0 in the eighth when Angel Cano walked with the bases loaded Rhoades capped the scoring with a two-RBI single.
