06 May 2026 Trojans fall to Arkansas State
LITTLE ROCK — Little Rock battled toe-to-toe with in-state rival Arkansas State for much of Tuesday night before the Red Wolves used a late surge to pull away for a 12-0 victory at Gary Hogan Field.

“We hit the ball hard, but we were getting out the same way,” Little Rock head coach Chris Curry said. “We needed to make adjustments. That was frustrating.”
For six innings, the Trojans kept the game within striking distance despite Arkansas State capitalizing on early opportunities. Little Rock’s pitching staff repeatedly worked out of traffic and gave the Trojans chances to climb back into the contest before the Red Wolves broke things open with a four-run eighth and three more in the ninth.
Arkansas State finished with nine hits, but Little Rock forced the Red Wolves to earn nearly every run, stranding 10 runners on the night. The Trojans’ defense also turned in several solid plays around the diamond to keep the game manageable through the middle innings.
Little Rock now turns its attention back to Ohio Valley Conference play as the Trojans continue their push toward the top of the league standings with a three-game series at UT Martin.
“The good news is we are in the hunt for a conference championship and the postseason,” Curry said.
