CSCAA Executive Director Samantha Baranay informed Little Rock head coach Nathan Townsend and Director of Athletics Frank M. Cuervo that the squad earned the CSCAA Scholar All-America award for the spring semester.

The CSCAA honors teams from all divisions that earn over a cumulative 3.0 GPA. The Trojans with 33 members achieved a 3.66 mark.

“We’re incredibly proud of our women’s swimming team for being recognized with the CSCAA Scholar All-America award,” Cuervo said. “This honor reflects the outstanding commitment our student-athletes show both in the pool and in the classroom. It’s a testament to their hard work, discipline, and the culture of excellence we’re building at Little Rock.”

The Trojans have made academic excellence a habit totaling a 3.73 GPA in the fall and earning the Large Roster Team Academic Award at the TOP Awards – the Little Rock Department of Athletic awards banquet held in April. In addition, 13 Trojans were named to the Missouri Valley Conference Scholar Athlete-Team.

“I am incredibly proud of how our women continue to strike the balance between high-level academics and high-level athletics,” Townsend said. “This is a tremendous honor for our program.”

Seniors Lucy Jahn and Jaelle Carlson stood out on a team of stellar student-athletes.

Jahn graduated in in the spring with honors with a degree in communications and was an executive board member of SAAC and was named to the MVC Scholar Athlete Team. Jahn was honored with the Female Scholar Athlete of the Year Award at the TOP Awards.
