Tri-State Truck Center supports ASU-Beebe students advancing to National SkillsUSA Competition

BEEBE — Arkansas State University-Beebe recently announced a donation from Tri-State Truck Center, Inc. in support of its diesel technology program. This contribution specifically aids students who achieved gold medals at the state-level SkillsUSA competition, enabling them to participate in the upcoming National Leadership and Skills Conference in Atlanta, Georgia.

The diesel technology program at ASU-Beebe equips students with the skills necessary to repair and maintain heavy-duty trucks, farm equipment, and industrial machinery. With a focus on hands-on training and industry certifications, the program prepares graduates for high-demand careers in diesel mechanics.

Tom Williamson, service director at Tri-State Truck Center’s Little Rock location, emphasized the company’s commitment to workforce development.

“At Tri-State Truck Center, we recognize the importance of investing in the next generation of diesel technicians,” Williamson said. “Supporting these talented students as they advance to the national stage reflects our dedication to the industry’s future and the communities we serve.”

Chancellor Dr. Jennifer Methvin expressed gratitude for the partnership, saying “We are deeply appreciative of Tri-State Truck Center’s support. Their investment not only acknowledges the hard work of our students but also reinforces the vital connection between industry and education in cultivating a skilled workforce.”
