Tour de Toad on May 6

An official event of Toad Suck Daze, the 10th Annual Tour de Toad will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 6, at Cantrell Field near Conway.

This year’s event features a new venue and three new routes. It raises funds to increase adult literacy in Central Arkansas, while encouraging a healthy lifestyle and cycling. Registration is at 10 a.m.

Cyclists can pick between three routes: a 10-mile Family Ride, 25-mile Intermediate and 50-mile Half-Century route. The three routes increase in intensity as you go up in miles, perfect for all levels of cyclists.

Each route is fully SAG supported with aid stations and bathrooms. Tacos and beer will be served at the finish line celebration with Iron Toad medals.

This is the fourth year for the Iron Toad event, where Literacy Action partners with the Conway Kiwanis Club to award those that complete the Toad Run and the Tour de Toad ride on May 6 with a custom medal.

Registration is $45 and will increase to $50 starting Wednesday, May 4. There is also a virtual rider this year – to support Literacy Action even if you can’t make it to the event! The 10-mile Family Ride is $35 for adults and $20 for youth. There is also a $15 Friend of the Toad ticket for those who would like to participate in the Finish Line Celebration, but not ride.

Sponsors are Subaru of Little Rock, First Security Bank, Baptist Health, Conway Corporation, Scholl Law Firm, APMX/Rock Family Dental, Edward Jones: Financial Advisor Kelley Ross Journey, Murray Law Firm, Journey Event Consulting, The Ride, Conway Advocates for Bicycling (CAB), Conway Area Chamber of Commerce, Conway Convention & Visitors Bureau and First Class Trophies & Awards.
