Tickets for the University of Central Arkansas Bears’ season-opening game in Week 0 (Saturday, Aug. 29) are on sale now at the UCA ticket office.

The Bears will take on the Austin Peay Governors in the “Guardian Credit Union FCS Kickoff” at historic Cramton Bowl in Montgomery, Ala. The matchup will be one of the first college football games in the country as most college football programs begin the 2020 season on Saturday, Sept. 5.

The Bears came from behind to beat the Governors 24-16 last September in Clarksville, Tenn., with quarterback Breylin Smith connecting twice with wide receiver Lujuan Winningham for fourth-quarter touchdowns. UCA went on to win the Southland Conference and earn a national seed in the FCS Playoffs and finish 9-4 overall. UCA is picked 10th and 11th in the nation in two preseason FCS polls released this summer.

Austin Peay, coached by former UCA assistant Mark Hudspeth, finished 11-4 last year and won two games in the FCS playoffs. UCA leads the all-time series with APSU 2-0.
