We’re kicking off 2026 by highlighting many incredible people from Central Arkansas whom our team has determined to be “Five-Oh-Ones to Watch.” In this section, you will meet educators, entrepreneurs, Brownies and a pageant queen, a farmer, a scientist, a musician, caregivers and master communicators. One honoree is devoted to healing the sick while another comforts families at life’s end. They are each one unique, but the common thread is their passion for their professions.

Last fall, we asked readers to nominate outstanding people who inspire others, who make life better for many and who live in one of the 11 counties we serve: Cleburne, Conway, Faulkner, Garland, Hot Spring, Lonoke, Perry, Pulaski, Saline, Van Buren and White. There were many nominations, and it was a challenge to narrow the list!
