“Spa at the beach” is the theme for “The Great Escape” planned 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 11, at the Conway Expo Center and Fairgrounds.

The event – one of the major fundraisers for the Women’s Shelter of Central Arkansas – is in its eighth year and features different vendors as well as various opportunities for pampering.

More than 100 merchants from around the country will offer gourmet food, jewelry, children’s items, accessories, collectibles and much more. Broken China Jewelry pendants which benefit WSCA will also be available for purchase.

Those attending can also get a haircut, manicure, pedicure and massage. A fashion show is scheduled at 1 p.m.

WSCA Executive Director Beth Goodrich describes the Great Escape as a fun event, especially for mothers and their daughters. About 400 people attended last year.

Admission is $5 per person.
