08 Jan 2024 ‘The Cher Show’ coming to Reynolds Performance Hall
CONWAY — The University of Central Arkansas Reynolds Performance Hall presents the stunning brand-new production of the Tony Award-winning musical “The Cher Show” at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan.21.
The show will feature such hits as “If I Could Turn Back Time,” “I Got You Babe,” “Strong Enough,” “I Found Someone” and more.
“The Cher Show” features a total of 35 smash hits, six decades of stardom, two rock-star husbands, a Grammy, an Oscar, an Emmy and Tony Award-winning Bob Mackie gowns, all in one new musical that should have audiences dancing in the aisles.
The performance is packed with so much Cher it takes three women to play her and bring her iconic story to life on stage. Ella Perez plays “Babe,” the ambitious kid starting out; Catherine Ariale as “Lady,” the glam pop star; and Morgan Scott as “Star,” the icon.
Mike Bindeman is featured in the roles of Gregg Allman and John Southall, with Tyler Pirrung as Bob Mackie/Robert Altman/Frank, and Lucy Werner as Georgia Holt and Lucille Ball. Lorenzo Pugliese stars as Sonny Bono.
“The Cher Show”, which opened on Broadway in December 2018, won Tony Awards for Best Costume Design of a Musical for Bob Mackie and Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role in a Musical for Stephanie J. Block. Tickets range from $30-$50 for adults and $10 for children/students.
