14 Sep 2015 Ten finalists named in Alchemy competition

The Alchemy Songwriting Competition will host its fifth annual showcase on Saturday, Sept. 26, at The Brick Room event center in Downtown Conway.

Top finalists from the 2015 Alchemy Songwriting Competition will perform their original songs in front of a live audience and a panel of guest judges including artist/songwriter Adam Hambrick and producer/songwriter Jonathan Smith.

The 10 finalists that will perform include:

●    Luke Gibson – Abilene, Texas
●    Jasper Logan – Fayetteville
●    Tyler Sellers – Conway
●    Alan Benjamin Thomas – Little Rock
●    Taylor Hyatt – Conway
●    Velma Spradlin – Conway
●    Vicki Lee and Rose Lutes – Pine Bluff
●    Casey Penn and Rodger King – Little Rock
●    Jessica Roadcap – Nashville, Tenn.
●    Shanicqua Baker – Pine Bluff

General admission and VIP tickets can be purchased at alchemycompetition.org/showcase. Doors open at 6 p.m. for VIPs who are invited to an early entrance reception. VIPs will also receive reserved table seating as well as complimentary h’orderves and two beverages. Doors open at 7 p.m. for general admission ticket holders.

The grand prize winner will receive a trip for two to Los Angeles and a day to record in the studio of award-winning Hollywood producer Warren Huart.

Genre and age division winners will be announced throughout the evening with the grand prize winner selected at the end of the showcase.
