First Security Bank and Conway Regional Health System recently teamed up to raise awareness about ovarian cancer with a free “Teal Talk Luncheon” at Central Baptist Church in West Conway.
Teal, the bank’s signature color, is also used to promote awareness of ovarian cancer.
Obstetrician/gynecologist Dr. Andrew Cole, whose mother died of ovarian cancer, was the keynote speaker at the luncheon. Leah Elliott, an ovarian cancer survivor and the communication director for the Arkansas Ovarian Cancer Coalition, also shared her story.
