09 Dec 2024 Steve Elder Promoted to Vice President for Enrollment Management at CBC
CONWAY — Central Baptist College (CBC) has announced the promotion of Steve Elder to Vice President for Enrollment Management. He most recently served as interim vice president of enrollment management, division chair, and director of PACE and online studies. He has been employed with CBC for nine years.
“Steve has been a proven leader on campus for many years,” said CBC President Terry Kimbrow. “Our Enrollment Management team has excelled under his leadership during the interim period. Most notably, our fall 2024 enrollment saw a seven percent increase in first-time freshmen, the first fall-to-fall increase in traditional students since 2016, and the first fall-to-fall increase in PACE students since 2013. The future looks bright.”
As Vice President for Enrollment Management, Elder will serve as a member of the President’s Executive Leadership Team. He will also oversee all aspects of CBC’s recruitment, registration, and retention strategies, provide supervision for all enrollment personnel, and oversee and analyze market conditions to consistently meet overall enrollment goals.
“I’m delighted to have Steve serving as Vice President for Enrollment Management on a full-time basis,” said Executive Vice President Dr. Jeremy Langley. “His diverse background in higher education gives him the skills necessary to lead our Enrollment Management division to new heights. I’m thankful to have him as part of our Executive Leadership Team.”
Elder and his family are members of Westrock Baptist Church in Little Rock.
