25 Nov 2014 St. Joseph, Sacred Heart compete in alumni game
The second annual St. Joseph vs. Sacred Heart Alumni Basketball Game – a fundraising event for the booster clubs at both schools – was held Nov. 14 at the Sacred Heart gymnasium in Morrilton.
Four different contests took place; a game between female graduates under 35 years of age and another for males in the same age bracket. Men and women older than 35 also played each other. The total number of points accumulated for each team determined the overall winner of the Rivalry Ball Trophy. It’s dedicated to the late Kathryn Mourot who taught biology and coached women’s basketball at both schools. She was at Sacred Heart from 1968-1973 and at St. Joseph from 1976-1991.
St. Joseph School received the trophy for the second consecutive year.
