St. Joseph cheerleaders participate in UCA camp

St. Joseph High in Conway was one of eight schools and 10 teams that took part in the Universal Cheerleaders Association Summer Camp recently held at the University of Central Arkansas.

The Bulldogs were represented by six junior high and six varsity cheerleaders. They were taught team unity and how to stunt, plan for pep rallies and be a true leader. They were also taught dances, chants and cheers.

The St. Joseph cheerleaders took home two trophies. One was the "Most Improved Team Award" and the other was second place for "Superior Game Day Competition."

The sponsor and coach is Amy Covington.
