Special guest to speak at Mental Health Day at the Capitol on Jan. 29 

LITTLE ROCK — The Arkansas Council on Behavioral Health will host a Mental Health Day at the Capitol from 9 a.m. to noon in the rotunda of Arkansas’s state capitol on Wed., Jan. 29. The purpose of this day is to highlight successes and raise awareness of the need for and challenge in comprehensive behavioral health services to meet the population health needs in Arkansas.

A very special guest is scheduled to speak at the event, which will include presentations from various behavioral health service providers who work daily to meet the needs of Arkansans 

The Arkansas Council for Behavioral Health, a nonprofit organization comprised of 27 behavioral health providers of various types from full-continuum health systems to specialized providers of both outpatient and inpatient services, will have member tables available in the rotunda. The organization’s members provide services to each of Arkansas’s 75 counties and call attention to the need for quality, efficient services that change the course of lives for the better.
