Snyder retires after 24 years of service

CONWAY — Conway Corp Secretary Receptionist Diane Snyder recently retired after dedicating more than 24 years of service to the Conway community.

Diane Snyder

Snyder joined Conway Corp in January 2001 and has been a pillar of the organization. As Secretary Receptionist, she played a vital role in managing the Conway Corp Service Center, ensuring seamless operations, supporting teams and leadership and keeping everything running smoothly. Whether it was handling scheduling and logistics, managing supply orders or simply being a friendly face, she did it all with warmth and professionalism.

“It has been so special to me, getting to know everyone. We’re like family – we’ve got each other’s backs. I felt like the mom to everyone,” Snyder said.

Her impact was deeply felt by those she worked alongside. Conway Corp Property & Procurement Manager Bart Joyner praised her dedication. “It has been a pleasure and a joy to work with Diane throughout her career,” Joyner said. “She is the definition of a team player: supportive, caring and always willing to serve, whether it’s a co-worker or a customer. Diane will be greatly missed, and we wish her nothing but the best in her retirement.”

Her colleagues echoed those sentiments.  “Diane has always been consistently proficient at her job,” Conway Corp Damage Prevention & Recovery Supervisor Jim Lawrence said. “Her knowledge of so many departments is impressive and her calm, deliberate manner gave all of us confidence. She’s been a steady presence, and she will truly be missed.”

For Snyder, helping others was the most rewarding part of her career. “The opportunity to work at Conway Corp has been life-changing. You become a part of Conway’s history just by being here.”

She credits her co-workers for making her years at Conway Corp so memorable. “Over the years, I have had the privilege of working with some amazing people. Even if we weren’t close outside the office, we were still a family who looked out for one another. I always knew I could count on my Conway Corp family.”

Though she will miss her work family, Snyder is looking forward to spending more time with her own family, including her seven grandchildren and her first great-grandchild, expected this summer. “I’m closing this chapter of my life after 24 years and starting a new one. My husband, Steve, retired from Conway Corp in 2018 after 42 years, so now it’s time for us to enjoy life together. I already have a trip planned and I can’t wait to spend more time with my siblings and grandkids.”

As Snyder looks back on her career, she offers this final piece of advice: “Conway Corp is a great place to work, with benefits you won’t find anywhere else. But what makes it truly special is the people — they become family.”
