The Searcy Leadership Institute (SLI), a program of the Searcy Regional Chamber of Commerce, is accepting applications for the 2015/2016 class.

SLI is aimed at developing a network of talented leaders for present and future community needs. To meet this vision, the Leadership Institute seeks to:

  • Identify and motivate individuals with leadership potential.
  • Acquaint them with community needs, challenges and opportunities.
  • Offer a forum of exchange on methods for dealing with community issues.
  • Challenge potential leaders to become involved with local issues and the process of decision- making.

SLI consists of eight full-day training sessions. The first session consists of a Thursday evening and a full Friday. The remaining sessions are scheduled on the second Tuesday of the month from 8:15 a.m. until 4:45 p.m. Participants are expected to attend every session.

The tuition fee for chamber member participants selected is $350 and non-chamber members is $450. Bald Knob and Beebe chamber of commerce members receive a member rate.

All applications must be turned in by Tuesday, Sept. 1.
