28 Jul 2025 Sissy’s Log Cabin breaks ground on luxury store in Little Rock

LITTLE ROCK – Sissy’s Log Cabin, the Mid-South’s largest family-owned and -operated retailer of natural diamonds, jewelry, estate pieces, and fine gifts, recently broke ground on its future flagship store in Little Rock, launching construction on what will become the fine jeweler’s largest and most refined location to date. The new store, located off North University Avenue, is slated to open in fall 2026.

Designed by architect Jesse Balaity, the visionary talent behind the recently opened Memphis and Fort Smith locations, the state-of-the-art space will span approximately 11,300 square feet. The store will be less than half a mile from the current Heights storefront on North Grant Street and will blend upscale sophistication with heritage craftsmanship. It will incorporate design elements that pay tribute to the company’s iconic log cabin roots.

William Jones, president of Sissy’s Log Cabin, shared that the store will introduce new world-class brands combined with the signature service for which the brand is known. Jones says, “Since 2010, Little Rock has been an important part of our company’s story, and this flagship project represents our investment in the city’s future. With this new store, we’re raising the bar for fine jewelry shopping with new brands, new experiences, and a storefront that’s both modern and unmistakably Sissy’s.”

Sissy’s customers and staff, including founder Sissy Jones, who opened her first store in Pine Bluff in 1970, attended the groundbreaking, along with Little Rock Mayor Frank Scott Jr., Arkansas Lt. Gov. Leslie Rutledge, and representatives from the Little Rock Regional Chamber, RPM Group, and Cline Construction.

As construction begins, Sissy’s Log Cabin is working closely with the City of Little Rock to enhance accessibility and improve traffic flow in the area, ensuring a seamless shopping experience for visitors.
