09 Jun 2025 Sherwood’s Fireworks & Food Trucks returns July 3 

SHERWOOD — The City of Sherwood invites the public to its annual Fireworks & Food Trucks celebration at 6 p.m. on Thursday, July 3, at The Greens at North Hills Golf Course. 

This year’s festivities promise to be even more exciting, with an expanded lineup of food trucks, a larger kids’ zone, sponsored by River City Hydraulics, and increased parking. The fun begins at 6 p.m. Patrons should remember to bring their chairs, blankets, games and appetites. The fireworks, sponsored by the Sherwood Advertising and Promotions Commission, will light up the sky after nightfall, and a DJ, sponsored by Michele Phillips and Co. Realtors, will spin tunes from the outdoor balcony.  In case of inclement weather, the event will be canceled for safety reasons.   

“This event continues to grow each year, and we’re excited to celebrate with the community again,” said Mayor Mary Jo Heye-Townsell.

Complimentary parking will be provided on some of the course’s fairways again this year in multiple areas. Handicapped parking will be available in the designated spots. Signs will be posted, and attendants will be on hand to assist with parking. The handicapped viewing area will also be located behind the events center.  

Of course, there will be other viewing opportunities in parking lots near the golf course. Sherwood Police Department does not recommend parking across Highway 107 or North Hills and attempting to walk across those streets. If you park anywhere other than the city-sponsored parking areas, please plan to stay put and enjoy the fireworks where you are parked or ONLY walk where sidewalks and crosswalks are available.  

The Balcony Blast Fundraiser, a ticketed dinner and viewing event to benefit the COPPS Division of the Sherwood Police Department, is also returning. All proceeds support local outreach programs such as COPPS Kids Christmas and Coats for Kids. Tickets are available at Eventbrite.com
