Second half costs Lady Mustangs at Baptist Bible

Springfield, Mo. – Looking to bounce back after a season-opening loss at home, Central Baptist College women’s basketball took on the Patriots of Baptist Bible College tonight at W.E. Dowell Fieldhouse. CBC (0-2) trailed by three at halftime and got outscored 46-18 in the second half to fall 91-60 to BBC (4-0).

Olivia Lambrigtsen was one of two Lady Mustangs in double figures with a career-high 19 points while Kristen Hargrove chipped in with 11. Caroline Citty led the way in rebounding for CBC with seven as the Lady Mustangs shot 44 percent from the field, 35 percent from three and 78 percent from the line. The game was decided by turnovers, as CBC committed 37 and forced just 15, leading to 46 Patriot points to just 13 for CBC.

The Lady Mustangs are back on the road on Thursday night when they head to Paragould for a clash with Crowley’s Ridge. Tip-off is slated for 6 p.m. from the Carter Activities Center.
