27 Sep 2011 Sacred Heart’s Octoberfest
The day begins with the annual Octoberfest 5K Run/Walk beginning at the Knights of Columbus Hall at 9 a.m. (Details and the entry form are available on the school website.)
Sacred Heart will also again be participating in the DriveOne4UrSchool program with Allison Ford Lincoln Mercury.
For every test drive of a 2011 vehicle on the Sacred Heart lot, the school will receive $20 per participating household. Proceeds will benefit the Sacred Heart athletic programs.
The Octoberfest event officially opens at 4 p.m. with a bake sale. From 5 to 8 p.m., there is the all-you-can-eat turkey and dressing dinner with all the trimmings. Tickets for the dinner are $10 for adults, $5 for children 4-12, and kids 3 and under eat free. Carry-outs will be available from 4-5:30 p.m. and may be ordered by calling 501.354.4416. The event will also be host to games for all ages and a silent auction until 9 p.m.
Raffle tickets are also available for $10 each. Three cash prizes will be awarded ranging from $100-$300. New this year is a 1966 Ford Mustang – currently on display at Sacred Heart – that will be given away. Tickets for both raffles may be purchased at Octoberfest or in advance from the school office. Order forms are also available online at sacredheartmorrilton.org.
All proceeds from Octoberfest directly benefit Sacred Heart Catholic School, a fully-accredited educational community dedicated to Catholic Christian values, service, respect for self and others, and academic excellence.
