Sacred Heart hosts Grandparents' Day

Sacred Heart Catholic School in Morrilton recently welcomed grandparents from near and far to the annual Grandparents’ Day celebration.

Grandparents began arriving on campus at 8 a.m. for donuts, juice and coffee. Members of the student council provided valet parking and later escorted grandparents to classrooms to meet their grandchildren.

Grades K-12, with grandparents in tow, attended Mass. Students of all ages participated in the ministries.

Following Mass, grandparents visited classrooms for activities and were then treated to a homemade Thanksgiving dinner served by parent volunteers.

New this year, Sacred Heart also hosted grandparents for students enrolled in the 3 and 4-year-old pre-school classes. Grandparents were invited to have donuts in the pre-school building prior to the rest of the day’s activities.
