23 May 2017 Rider registration open for CARTI Tour de Rock
Rider registration is currently under way for the 14th annual CARTI Tour de Rock, a cycling-based fundraiser benefiting CARTI cancer patients, scheduled Saturday, June 3, at River Trail Station in North Little Rock.
Presented by Russell Chevrolet and Arkansas’ Best Chevy Dealers, the CARTI Tour de Rock is an open-course ride departing from North Little Rock and routed through Scott and England that annually attracts more than 1,000 cycling enthusiasts from all across the United States.
All rides offer cyclists of all abilities route options of 25 miles, 50 miles, 62 miles, 80 miles or 100 miles. Complete route details and maps are available at CARTI.com.
All routes will depart on a rolling start system, allowing riders to select and plan individual start times between the hours of 6:30 to 8 a.m. on the day of the event.
Riders participating in the 80- and 100-mile routes are strongly encouraged to depart no later than 7 a.m. A total of seven, fully-equipped rest stops will be plotted along ride routes.
Participants and supporters will celebrate riders at the finish line as part of Tour de Brew, a festival atmosphere complete with food, cold beverages and music from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Riders will receive an event T-shirt and lunch as part of their registration package. Non-riding participants may register as “Spirit Riders” and will also receive lunch and an event T-shirt.
Registration fee is $55 per rider through Friday, June 2, or $60 on the day of the event. “Spirit Rider” registration is $25 per person. Sign-in and registration the day of the event will begin at 6 a.m.
Rider registration packets will be available for advance pick up beginning Monday, May 29, through Thursday, June 1, at Russell Chevrolet, 6100 Landers Road in North Little Rock, or on Friday, June 2, at the CARTI Cancer Center, 8901 CARTI Way in Little Rock.
