Harding University recently hosted a reception with community leaders in honor of retiring president Dr. David B. Burks.
The event was held in Cone Chapel in the Heritage Center at Harding.
Reynie Rutledge and Jim Carr served as emcees for a special program during the reception.
Burks will retire as president on Saturday, June 1. Dr. Bruce McLarty is the new president, taking office on Saturday, June 1.
