Renewal Ride reports great event

Nearly 100 riders turned out Saturday for the second annual Renewal Ride.

First Security Bank was again this year’s Title Sponsor.

There were three distances — 55 miles, 35 miles and three miles — which started and finished at Renewal Ranch in Perry County. The event benefits the Ranch and “Restoring Broken Lives Through Christ.”

One of the riders commented, “It was a great course with great support and a tasty meal afterwards.”

A meal catered by Stoby’s was served at the finish line immediately following the ride. About 200 meals were served to riders, their families and others associated with the ranch.

There was also Kona Ice, Blue Sail Coffee and bounce houses for children.

“It was not only a great ride but a great event,” said Kyle Allison of Renewal Ranch. “We had riders from all across Arkansas: Conway, Russellville, Cabot, Little Rock, Maumelle, Searcy, Arkadelphia, Dermott, Redfield, and even Ruston, La.!”

Sponsors included Smith Ford, Angela Conrad Inc. (ACI), Conway Regional Health System and Nabholz Construction. In-kind support was provided by Arkansas Portable Toilets, Eric, Rob and Issac, Stoby’s and The Ride (which provided on-course help).
