Renewal Ranch will host its second annual bike ride, Renewal Ride, on Saturday, July 11. First Security Bank is again this year’s Title Sponsor. The event benefits Renewal Ranch and “Restoring Broken Lives Through Christ.” There are three distances — 55 miles, 35 miles and three miles — which start and finish at Renewal Ranch, 75 Lake Drive, Houston (Perry County). The group ride starts at 8 a.m. The Family Fun three-mile course begins at 9 a.m. Riders are encouraged to obtain their own sponsorships to help raise funds and awareness for Renewal Ranch. Print a rider sponsorship form at therenewalranch.org (click the “Current Event” tab). Festivities are planned while awaiting the arrival of the cyclists, including bounce castles, popcorn and music. A meal catered by Stoby’s will be served at the finish line immediately following the ride. The first 100 riders to register receive a FREE official 2015 Renewal Ride T-shirt.
