29 Feb 2016 Red Curtain to present ‘Alice in Wonderland Jr.’
Red Curtain Theatre will present the beloved children’s classic, “Disney’s Alice In Wonderland Jr.” at 7 p.m. Friday, March 4, and 2 and 7 p.m. Saturday, March 5, at the Trieschmann Fine Arts Building at Hendrix College.
This production takes the audience on an adventure as they travel down the rabbit hole and join Alice, one of literature’s most beloved heroines. Featuring updated songs from Disney’s thrilling animated motion picture, “Disney’s Alice in Wonderland Jr.” is a fast-paced take on the classic tale.
Director Kristen Sherman says, “We have a talented cast of youth ages 7-18 from all over Central Arkansas. They are very excited to get on stage and bring this show to life.”
The cast will also host a special “Tea Party with Alice” where guests will enjoy tea and sweets, interacting with the cast members and a picture with Alice by Courtney Utley Photography. The tea will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, March 5, and tickets are $10 each.
Red Curtain Theatre is a performing arts theatre company in Conway. The mission of the organization is to provide an atmosphere that nurtures and inspires actors of all ages by offering performance opportunities through workshops and community theatre. Their most recent performances include the hit musicals “Legally Blonde Jr.,” “Seussical Jr.,” and “Disney’s The Little Mermaid Jr.”
