A new event is planned in Downtown Fayetteville – the Hero Half Marathon and 1 Mile Run – to support local charities and promote health and safety in the community.

The race will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 18, in front of Fire Station One on Center Street in the historic downtown. For more information, visit herohalfmarathon.com and on Facebook search for Fayetteville Firefighter’s Hero Half Marathon.
