Polar Plunge on Saturday at Woolly Hollow State Park

The 2015 Polar Plunge for Special Olympics will be held Saturday, Feb. 7, at Woolly Hollow State Park near Greenbrier.

Registration is at 11 a.m., with a dessert auction at noon, awards and parade at 12:30 and the plunge at 1 o’clock.

Special Olympics of Arkansas provides year-round sports training and Olympic-type competition for children and adults with disabilities in the state. Currently, more than 14,000 athletes participate in training and compete in a program of 20 different sports.

Awards will be presented to the individual and team with the best costumes. Awards will also be presented to the individual and team who raise the most money.

There is a $50 minimum donation per participant, which includes an official event T-shirt.
