Pitcher Will McEntire presents $12,250 donation to CARTI

LITTLE ROCK — Will McEntire ended an incredible run as a college baseball pitcher with a $12,250 donation to CARTI on July 1. For his final season, the Bryant native pledged $5 per strikeout to the nonprofit’s Patient Assistance Program, which provides comprehensive support services to reduce potential barriers to treatment.

McEntire initiated his fundraising campaign, “Strikeouts for a Cause,” in early 2024 to uplift those facing cancer—a journey his own family faced when his father Madison, now in remission, was diagnosed and treated for Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma at CARTI.

“We are humbled by Will’s commitment to step up to the plate for CARTI,” said Jennifer Selig, executive director of the CARTI Foundation. “Whether from the mound or in the press box, he and his family have tirelessly raised awareness and funds to further CARTI’s mission of making trusted cancer care accessible.”
