Pilates with babies class set for Lactation Club

Instructor Maggie Glover will teach a Pilates class that mothers can do with their babies during the Oct. 29 meeting of the Conway Regional Great Start Lactation Club.

Pilates is designed to strengthen abdominal muscles while developing muscle strength and increasing flexibility. Throughout the class, mothers will have the option of involving their babies, ages four weeks to crawling, in the movements or having their baby nearby on the exercise mat. No previous Pilates experience is necessary. Glover also teaches Stroller Boot Camp, a modified boot camp for moms that includes babies in their stroller.

The club, which provides support for mothers who are breastfeeding their babies, meets the fourth Saturday of each month at 10 am in the Conway Regional Women’s Center Education Classroom, Building 2.
