Cities throughout Central Arkansas have been preparing for the highly anticipated total solar eclipse that will happen April 8.

Both amateur and professional photographers are preparing, including purchasing the necessary equipment to safely view and photograph the event, and to prevent damage to their eyesight or to a camera. 

501 LIFE Magazine contributor Linda Henderson will teach a class about the technical aspects of photographing the event at 6:30 p.m. on April 8 at Bedford Photography in Little Rock.
