09 Oct 2024 Pechar named SAA Offensive Athlete of the Week

CANTON, Ga. — On Monday, the Southern Athletic Association (SAA) released its weekly SAA Athlete of the Week awards, with Hendrix’s Jensen Pechar getting the nod for Offensive Athlete of the Week for his most recent performances for the Orange and Black. 

Pechar scored the opener against Lyon on Sept. 30 to help lead the Warriors to a 2-0 win over their in-state foes. On Friday, he was back at it again, scoring his sixth goal of the season in the 87th minute to provide Hendrix some insurance in their league-opening 2-0 win over Millsaps.

Pechar’s six goals currently rank second in the SAA, and he has scored in all five of Hendrix’s prior matches.

Pechar and the Warriors will be back in action this Friday as they head to Georgia for their first SAA road trip of the season, where they will take on Berry and Oglethorpe.
