Bid on online art auction through Dec. 3; benefits Conway Art Walk

CONWAY — The Creative Institute of Central Arkansas has announced an exclusive online auction to raise funds for the 2025 season of its signature event, the Conway Art Walk. This 20-piece collection features a variety of unique works by the celebrated artist Shwan Ziwar, with 100 percent of proceeds supporting arts programming and community-building efforts in Conway.

The auction is live and runs through Dec. 3, which is Giving Tuesday. To participate, visit creativeinstitutear.org/auction.

The Conway Art Walk has grown exponentially, with attendance skyrocketing from 200 to more than 800 attendees per event since its launch in 2021. Visitors from more than 40 zip codes and 20 area codes flock to downtown Conway to enjoy the arts, support local businesses, and contribute to the vibrant cultural life of Central Arkansas.

The artistShwan Ziwar, who was born in southern Iraq in 1955, is a half-Kurd, half-Kazakh artist whose career spans continents and cultures. After earning his diploma from the Fine Arts Academy of Perugia, Italy, in 1982, he settled in Toronto, Canada, where his work continues to reach patrons worldwide. His art reflects a rich blend of his Middle Eastern roots and global experiences.

In less than five years, the Creative Institute has become a cornerstone of arts and culture in the region, driving economic growth and building strong community partnerships.
