North Little Rock names Fit2Live Director

Mayor Terry Hartwick recently named Lakaisha Shelby as the Director of the Fit2Live Program in the City of North Little Rock. Shelby, a distinguished graduate of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock (UALR) holds a Bachelor of Health Education and Promotion degree. She was named to the Dean’s List three consecutive years while attending UALR. 

Shelby most recently worked at the Arkansas Department of Workforce Services and the Arkansas Department of Finance & Administration. She has extensive customer service experience working for both private companies and state agencies. 

“I am excited about the opportunity to continue developing the North Little Rock Community Gardens Program, Employee Wellness Plan, as well as the overall Fit2Live Initiative in the City of North Little Rock,” Shelby said.
