New bookmobile arrives at Conway County Library

The Conway County Library recently took delivery of its long anticipated bookmobile.

Over the next few months, staff will be busy preparing the collection, putting a graphical wrap on the exterior, fine-tuning the final routes that it will take throughout the county and hiring a driver.

Library Director Jay Carter said this is the culmination of a 10-year project he began when he was first hired. The library plans on covering the entire county within a one month time-frame, stopping at places such as local grocery stores, fire departments, schools and municipal buildings throughout the area, including Petit Jean Mountain.

“Before the bookmobile begins its routes, we will taking it out throughout the community to give residents a look and a tour of this new service we will soon offer,” he said. “Look for the bookmobile to be coming your way soon!”
