15 Jun 2026 National MLK Commission’s Conference to be held in Little Rock
LITTLE ROCK— The Arkansas Martin Luther King, Jr. Commission is proud to announce that Little Rock will once again serve as the host city for the 2026 National Martin Luther King, Jr. Commission’s Conference, taking place Aug. 27–29.

This premier national gathering will bring together Martin Luther King, Jr. Commissions, civic leaders, educators, community organizers, and advocates from across the United States to engage in meaningful dialogue, collaboration, and action to advance the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
The three-day conference will feature dynamic keynote speakers, panel discussions, workshops, and networking opportunities designed to inspire participants and strengthen efforts to promote justice, leadership, nonviolence, and service in communities nationwide.
“Hosting the second annual National MLK Commissions Conference is both an honor and an opportunity for Arkansas,” said Dr. DuShun Scarbrough, executive director of the Arkansas Martin Luther King, Jr. Commission. “Little Rock holds a unique place in civil rights history, and we look forward to welcoming leaders from across the country to continue the important work of advancing Dr. King’s vision.”
Participants will have the opportunity to explore the historic and cultural significance of Little Rock while collaborating on strategies that address current social challenges and celebrate progress in civil rights initiatives.
