Mustang’s soccer plays in NLR on Saturday

SILOAM SPRINGS, Ark. – Looking to carry some momentum from Friday’s win, Central Baptist College men’s soccer was at Alumni Field Tuesday night for a match with the Golden Eagles of John Brown University.

CBC (1-2) conceded a goal early and couldn’t capitalize late, falling 1-0 to JBU (3-0-1) in the third meeting ever between the two schools.

Jasper Gadellaa made four saves in goal for the Mustangs. Tim Echaniz and Victor Alvarez both had attempts on goal in the second half but were turned away.

The Mustangs return home on Saturday to face the Eagles of Texas A&M-Texarkana. Kickoff from Burns Park is scheduled for 7 p.m.
