‘Munchin on Main’ Committee announces festival, sponsorship opportunities

MORRILTON – After a two-year hiatus, the “Munchin on Main Street” planning committee announced that the 2festival will return to downtown Morrilton from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, March 26 on Railroad Avenue.

Festivities include live music, food trucks, a beer and wine garden, free children’s activities hosted by local civic groups, a baggo tournament and other games.

To keep the event free to the public, the planning committee is soliciting sponsors ranging from $100 to $2,500. Creative sponsorship opportunities are also available for those offering in-kind services that add value to the event. Sponsorship applications as well as those for food trucks, civic clubs, and others hosting children’s activities, are live at mainstreetmorrilton.org. The deadline for applications is March 11.

A large number of volunteers of all ages are needed to successfully host the event. Those interested can sign-up at mainstreetmorrilton.org. Baggo tournament sign-ups will be available soon. Those interested can follow the Facebook event “2022 Munchin on Main Street” or check the website for details as they become available.

To help minimize transmission of COVID-19, guests are encouraged to bring a chair, sanitize often, distance themselves from others where possible, and wear a mask throughout the event where distancing is not possible. The planning committee is working to provide multiple sanitizing stations and will have volunteers dedicated to cleaning tables and chairs.
