16 Aug 2014 Mountain Pine: Red Devils looking for first win since '11
Conference: 5-2A
Coach: Jody Frazier
’13 Record: 0-10 (0-7)
It’s been a rough couple of years for the Mountain Pine Red Devils. They haven’t won a game since 2011.
Low numbers is always an issue for the Red Devils, but experience could get them back on the winning track in 2014. Ten starters return on each side of the ball.
Senior Lane Buffalo and Junior Dewayne Matlock compete for time at quarterback. Senior running back Trevor Bowden earned all-conference honors in 2013. Juniors Ronnie Kolb, Dustyn Davis and Kyle Allen lead the way on the offensive line.
Bowden also returns at defensive end. Allen mans an outside linebacker spot. Matlock and Tyson Stewart lead the way in the secondary.
