21 Jun 2011 Moo Moo’s Yogurt Bar comes to Greenbrier
by Don Bingham
Yogurt is great any time of the year, and summer is a grand time for a cool introduction to a deliciously healthy treat – Moo Moo’s Yogurt Bar in the Springhill community.
Located along Highway 65 south of Greenbrier, the business is owned by Travis and Jennifer Weaver and Kevin and Cindy Hartman.
Moo Moo’s offers yogurt by the ounce ($0.39 per), and you may enjoy mixing as much as you’d like in your choice of three different cup sizes. There are 12 flavor choices and 56 toppings – all delicious and refreshing.
The yogurt bar has two 42-inch TVs, free Wi-Fi and a small but exciting play area for children.
There is even a party room available for rent for special occasions.
I was particularly intrigued to know that on the first and third Mondays of the month, from opening to 4 p.m., a portion of the proceeds is donated to LifeWord Ministries in Conway.
I gathered up three of our grandsons and took them to Moo Moo’s for a “welcome to summer vacation” treat! Here’s what they had to say:
“It’s cold and tasty!” – Lando Newton, 8. With prompting from his mom, the consensus seemed that the yogurt was all about the “color” rather than the “flavor.”
“The yogurt reminded me of good times!” – Cain Newton, 11.
“It makes you want to eat it real slow!” – Talon Newton, 10.
Moo Moo’s is open 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Monday through Saturday, with a unique “Happy Hour” from 3-5 p.m. Monday through Friday. During the “Happy Hour,” yogurt is half price! What a deal!
The favored flavor among our visiting crew seemed to be “birthday cake.” For me, the coffee flavored yogurt sounded rather appealing.
Moo Moo’s also offers cappuccino and specialty coffees for those who are coffee lovers.
