29 Nov 2011 Miracles at Christmas on Saturday
The Century League of Morrilton will host its seventh annual Miracles at Christmas event Saturday at the Morrilton Country Club.
The annual event is one of the Century League’s main fundraisers and proceeds will go to support the KIDS FIRST program in Morrilton.
KIDS FIRST is the state’s first pediatric day health care program for children with special health care needs and the only such program based in the University of Arkansas Medical System. The Morrilton location recently moved into a new building with upgraded space and equipment. While the facility is a vast improvement over their previous location, director Andrea Holland said, “Completing the outdoor play area is our greatest need right now.”
The money raised through Miracles at Christmas will go toward purchasing drop zone material, landscaping and equipment for the outdoor play area. (For more information about KIDS FIRST visit arpediactrics.org/kidsfirst.)
The event will feature a catered meal of grilled chicken, twice-baked potatoes and cheesecake served by Century League members.
A raffle and silent auction are planned.
Tickets are $25 and can be purchased from any Century League Member. For more information, please contact Morgan Zimmerman at 479.264.4332.
