01 May 2024 Men’s Track and Field finishes fourth at SAA Championships

CONWAY — The Hendrix Warriors’ Men’s Track & Field program celebrated hosting the 2024 Southern Athletic Association (SAA) Outdoor Track & Field Championships with its best finish since 2017.

Ethan Armour was named Co-Men’s Athlete of the Meet after earning the highest individual point total of the Championships. On Day Two, he finished third in the Men’s High Jump.

This is the second consecutive year in which Armour has garnered Athlete of the Meet honors.

Tristian Johnson followed up a solid Day One performance with another top three performance as he finished second in the Men’s Discus after finished second in the Men’s Shot Put the day before.

One of the highlights of the meet was the Men’s 4x100m Relay. The Hendrix team of Ryan Maxwell, Keaton Hahn, Jax Johnson, and Westin Bruce — who were competing after just three days of practice — earned a fourth place finish with a time of 44.18.
