Maumelle Chamber, businesses support deployed spouses with dinner

On Feb. 12, the Maumelle community came together to show support for military families by hosting a special dinner for the spouses of deployed service members from Little Rock Air Force Base (LRAFB).

This event, held in partnership with the Maumelle Area Chamber of Commerce, was part of a quarterly tradition organized by various Central Arkansas chambers through the Little Rock Air Force Base Community Council.

“I extend special thanks to those in the community who helped us with the food and door prizes,” said Kellie Wall, president of the Maumelle Chamber of Commerce.

The evening was filled with delicious food, thoughtful gifts, and a strong sense of community spirit, according to Wall. “First Service Bank generously served as the food sponsor, ensuring attendees enjoyed a wonderful meal,” she said. Numerous Maumelle businesses also stepped up to donate door prizes, gift cards, and fun items, making the event even more special for the families in attendance.

These dinners not only provide a break and a bit of fun for spouses who are holding down the fort at home, but they also demonstrate the unwavering support of the Central Arkansas community for the men and women serving our country.“

The Maumelle Area Chamber of Commerce and the entire Maumelle community were proud to host this event and look forward to continuing to support LRAFB families in the future,” Wall said.
