Local authors to have booksigning at Faulkner County Library

Local authors Roger Barnett and Paul Gill will have a booksigning at the Faulkner County Library at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 31.

Roger Barnett, author of “Fighting Cancer One Memory At A Time.” was working in law enforcement and was a struggling single father when he was diagnosed with leukemia. He had made mistakes in his life and hurt people he loved. He confesses all in this autobiography and opens the door to the closet where all his skeletons are stored.

Paul Gill was born and raised in Faulkner County. In “Reflections of My Childhood,” he shares memories of being raised on a farm during the Great Depression. These were the days of outdoor toilets, No. 3 washtubs, mule-drawn cotton farming, hog-killing and Sunday socials. Stories from an Arkansas childhood combined with the wit and wisdom of a farming family infuse this memoir with warmth and humor.
