12 Mar 2025 Little Rock Men’s Golf and Turnell take fourth at Louisiana Classic
LAFAYETTE, La. — The Little Rock men’s golf team finished 4th at the Louisiana Classics, marking an eight-place improvement from last year. The tournament concluded Tuesday at Oakbourne Country Club. The Trojans’ strong spring season continues, as they have consistently placed in the top five at every tournament so far.

“It was another fantastic week for Freddie. He did well all week minimizing his mistakes during his rounds with his great short game and capitalizing when he had good chances for birdie. Another top 5 finish for him this week which was very impressive to watch.” -said head coach Austin Eoff about Freddie Turnell.
“As a team we just made too many big mistakes. You cannot make doubles, triples, and quintuples and expect to beat teams like Texas A&M and LSU. It will not happen. We have a week and a half to get smarter and tougher before we head out west to Oregon and Stanford and we will spend that time doing just that. We did do a good job of salvaging 4th place this week, but we have a lot to improve on to get where we want to be.”
