Lush shrubbery and impressive landscaping create the perfect setting for the home enjoyed by Patricia and Barry Quick in West Conway.
The home’s incredible outdoor spaces were recently featured in the Garden Walk, hosted by the Faulkner County Master Gardeners.
The Quicks – who have lived in the home for about seven years – enlisted the help of Doug McCall in Little Rock to design and create the outdoor space.
“We told him a few of the plants that we wanted and he drew it up,” Patricia said. “We specifically requested the rock trim and borders because we really wanted that look.”
The couple has been pleased with the result – an attractive front yard that adds interest to the already impressive house with its French Country design. “We wanted variety but did not want a formal look.”
The backyard is equally impressive. Adjacent to the Centennial Golf Course, the yard features a nice deck with additional flower beds – a great place for the family to enjoy the outdoors. “The mornings are really nice in the backyard.”
The landscape was designed with particular plants in mind so the family could enjoy colors throughout the year, a definite plus according to Patricia.
The Quicks especially like the way the landscaping complements the front of the house while in the back it provides privacy and various focal points with the golf course as a backdrop.
