Conference: 6A South
Coach: Jerry Clay
’14 Record: 6-5 (4-3)
The Lake Hamilton Wolves clawed their way into the playoffs after finishing 4-3 in the 6A South.
“Last season was a competitive season,” Coach Jerry Clay said. “We had several injuries that we had to overcome.”
A number of starters return this fall, making Lake Hamilton a dangerous team again in the 6A.
Eli Jackson returns as a bruiser at fullback and will be creating open lanes for running back Jonathan Bus. Jarrod Woodall and Bryce Briggs return as Lake Hamilton’s go-to receivers. Austin Alexander leads the offensive line at tackle. Ethan Johnson returns to handle the kicking duties as place kicker and punter.
Jackson and Noah Rengstorf return in the linebacker corps, and Ramar Easter and Woodall return in the secondary at corner and safety, respectively.
Additional projected starters include Lane Dodd (offensive line), Mason Engelbritson (offensive line), Nathan Dutton (tight end), Alek Montalvo (defensive line), Brendon Rice (defensive line), Dalton Staggs (linebacker), Jacob Graves (receiver/defensive back),
Daxton Robertson (defensive line), Nathan Cope (defensive line), Jake New (offensive/defensive lines), Ryan Perry (offensive/defensive lines), Jake Keeling (special teams), Zach Muldoon (deep snapper), Justin Williams (special teams/linebacker) and Jacob Porter (linebacker).
“Our receivers should be a strength on offense,” Clay said. “Linbackers and secondary should be improved. Our offensive and defensive lines have to develop. The conference will be tough again.”
