LAKE HAMILTON: Wolves boast new look under Reed

Conference: 6A West
Coach: Jeremy Reed
’15 Record: 4-7

Jeremy Reed takes over the Lake Hamilton Wolves this fall.

Senior Johnathan Buss will lead the Wolves’ rushing attack at full back in the new Flexbone offense. Senior Ramar Easter joins Buss in the backfield at slotback. Senior Jacob Graves and junior Jacob Nichols round out the backfield. Seniors Jake New and Ryan Perry; and juniors Cameron Slone, Caleb House, Ian Bishop and Cole Speer fill out the linemen rotation.

“We are very excited about our progress to this point with our Flexbone offense,” Reed said. “Our players have completely bought into our style of play and are getting better each time we compete. The strength of our offense will be the line. We believe this group can be very good once comfortable.”

Perry also leads on the defensive line at noseguard. Senior Gage Montgomery and juniors Zack Tisdale and Dalton Stacks fill out the defensive line rotation. Senior Jacob Porter and juniors Utah Aitken and Randall Nichols compete at linebacker. Junior Juan Jackson, Easter, junior Dafavioun Haywood and Graves project as starters in the secondary.

“We will base out of multiple fronts this season,” Reed said. “Just like the offense we are excited about the upcoming year and have progressed throughout spring ball and team camps. Our relentless attitude on defense is catching on and should be fun to watch this fall.

“The 6A West is a very tough conference! There are no off weeks to look ahead to the next opponent. Greenwood and Benton appear to be the favorites. Very close behind is El Dorado, Texarkana, Russellville and Siloam Springs. Whoever makes it out of this conference to the playoffs will be battle tested.”
